The vise performs very well as expected. Trying to get "EASTWOOD" company to help you get a broken part replaced, call you back or e-mail you is NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. I have e-mailed twice and called three times without success. I suspect if you need a replacement part you will have to show face at one of their physical locations. 250 miles for me.

Yost 855-D2 Reversible Bench Vise
I am very happy with the Yost 855 D2 I purchased. This vice is stout, the castings are impressive, smooth & clean. The tolerances are very good, and the jaw has very little side to side movement. This bench vice has a six inch jaw opening, and a monstrous nine and three quarter inches when reversed. I like the ability to remove the pipe jaws something most vices do not offer being cast in. The main screw is under the slide so it's protected from debris. This vice has two anvils and three reversible jaws with serrated and smooth surfaces.
I had a few questions before making this purchase and was unable to find answers online so I had to contact Yost Vices via Email on this website. They replied very quickly with all the information I had requested and even sent some pictures along for clarification, so I can say from experience that Yost Vices has great customer service as well as a great product.
If you are looking for your first bench vice or want to upgrade your current bench vice you really can't go wrong with the Yost 855 D2. You can certainly spend a lot more and receive a lot less in features and functionality.
